Yoga Classes

Yoga is simultaneously: self-diagnosis, healing, prevention, and maintenance.  Yoga classes are suitable for all levels of students from absolute beginners to yoga teachers.  With a modest amount of care and patience, yoga classes will trigger your body's natural adaptive and rejuvenating powers.   

Nothing in the healing arts has withstood the test of time and scientific scrutiny better than yoga.  Our goal is to make it easy for real people to discover real yoga, and to find real teachers.

Yoga is widespread and is continuously being developed today.  Yoga classes help realign your body with the forces of gravity, constantly shifting during pregnancy, so that life can be experienced not only with more strength, but with a sense of dignity and delight.  The essence of yoga is to make the process as efficient and enjoyable as possible.  In yoga the mind is used to perceive (diagnose) and guide (heal) the body.  Many different types of yoga workouts and classes have been devised.

Yoga classes are adjusted for all levels of experience, including beginners.  Classes really teach you how to do yoga on your own and are not simply a parroting style of teaching.  Scheduled classes are being offered at many area health clubs and yoga studios.  Work on balance, enhance energy and improve flexibility in these relaxing classes.  These classes are designed to maximize individual attention in a group environment.

Classes are moderately paced, and we encourage all students to work at their own pace and rest when they feel the need to.  Class will include lots of partnering yoga and meditation, and some discussion.  In yoga class and maybe in life, let the practice be, I am not trying to get anywhere, I am trying to make it okay to be where I am at because I love myself and value my process.  You don’t want to be in a class that is not taught at your level.  Be sure the classes are tailored to beginners, intermediate, or advanced students, as opposed to the one-level-fits-all approach.

Yoga as exercise has evolved into numerous subdivisions and variations.  Yoga enhances every facet of physical fitness the mind/body energy exchange supports a mental clarity and concentration.  Yoga's appeal is partly the calm, controlled breathing, the meditation and the goal of bringing mind, body and spirit into unity.  Yoga, like life, is a never-ending journey.
